ANCHORAGE, Alaska (AP) - The Coast Guard is searching for two people who went missing after a wave capsized their fishing boat near an Alaska island.

Coast Guard officials say the crew of a good Samaritan vessel also is searching for the Miss Destinee near Kodiak Island following the capsizing Thursday morning. Two others on board the overturned boat were rescued by the civilian vessel.

The Coast Guard says the good Samaritan vessel issued a mayday alert at about 7:30 a.m. Thursday to coordinate the search for the missing male and female.

Officials say responders are searching in rainy conditions, 10-foot seas and 20 mph winds.
