LAGUNA, N.M. (AP) - Authorities have opened on lane of eastbound Interstate 40 after a semi-truck crashed and spilled hazardous material on the freeway.

State Police say traffic is moving slowly and authorities are working to reopen the highway as soon as possible.

The incident happened Thursday morning on I-40 at Laguna, about 45 miles west of Albuquerque.

It’s unclear whether there were any injuries. An investigation is ongoing.
