MONROEVILLE, Pa. (AP) - Authorities say a woman has been killed in a car crash near Monroeville.

State police said the 19-year-old was killed in the early Friday morning crash near the Monroeville-Pennsylvania Turnpike exist of Interstate 376, about 15 miles east of Pittsburgh.

Police say the driver lost control and hit a road sign after going off the road. She was pronounced dead at the scene.

A passenger in the car was taken to the hospital and expected to be OK.
