JACKSON, Miss. (AP) - Authorities are searching for an inmate they say escaped from a Mississippi prison facility.

Corrections officials say the 24-year-old woman fled Mississippi Prison Industries in downtown Jackson on Thursday.

WAPT-TV reports (https://bit.ly/2qWapl7 ) that the inmate was last seen around 11:15 a.m. Thursday doing yard work at the facility.

Authorities said she was serving a sentence for two dug convictions in DeSoto County. The Mississippi Department of Corrections said she has a total of 15 years to serve.
