ELKO, Nev. (AP) - A Nevada man who admitted pointing a gun at a girl last year has been ordered to serve 30 days in jail.
The Elko Daily Free Press (https://bit.ly/2qwhn1s ) reports Wells resident Kelly Don Bergman was also ordered to undergo substance abuse and mental health evaluations last week. He pleaded guilty to two counts of aiming a firearm at a person.
The 50-year-old man was arrested Sept. 18 after he followed a car to a Wells home. The newspaper reports the driver’s father came out of the house and asked Bergman why he had followed his son home. At that point, Bergman pointed his pistol at the driver’s girlfriend.
The newspaper reports Bergman left the residence after the driver’s father pointed his rifle at him. He had been free on bail.
