Police: Woman struck, killed by car crossing street

FRANKLIN TOWNSHIP, N.J. (AP) - Authorities say an 81-year-old woman has been struck and killed by a car.

Police in Franklin Township said that Ernestine Register was hit around 11:40 a.m. Sunday while crossing Ten Mile Run Boulevard.

She was transported to a local hospital, where she was pronounced dead.
