Woman stabbed to death in Trenton alleyway

TRENTON, N.J. (AP) - Authorities say a woman has been fatally stabbed in an alleyway in New Jersey’s capital city.

The Trentonian reports (https://bit.ly/2rQRhX7 ) that 48-year-old Brenda Garzio, of Hamilton, was found dead on South Broad Street in Trenton late Sunday night.

The crime scene is about two miles east of the statehouse.

A neighbor told the newspaper that he heard the woman screaming for help. Police arrived minutes later.

Police had not released any information about arrests or suspects.

Garzio is the eighth homicide victim of the year in Trenton.
