GILA BEND, Ariz. (AP) - A Gila Bend man is facing a second-degree murder charge after allegedly shooting his brother to death after an argument over making dinner.
Maricopa County Sheriff’s deputies say in a probable cause statement that 55-year-old Albert Celaya Rodriguez was arrested Tuesday morning after a neighbor reported finding Rodriguez’s brother dead in his backyard.
Responding deputies confirmed the brother was dead of apparent gunshot wounds. The probable cause statement says deputies then asked Rodriguez what had happened and he told them he shot his brother after he walked into the backyard of their home and threw out a pot of soup.
The brother’s name wasn’t released. It isn’t clear of Rodriguez has an attorney who could comment on the charges.
