LAS VEGAS (AP) - A woman has died after being run over by a semitrailer in Las Vegas.
The Las Vegas Review-Journal reports (https://bit.ly/2qAG1OC ) the woman was hit and killed Tuesday night in a Walgreens parking lot.
Metropolitan Police Sgt. Paul McCullough said the woman was in either a chair or a bed roll on the sidewalk when the Walgreens semitrailer turned into the parking lot and ran her over.
She died at a nearby hospital.
McCullough said the semitrailer jumped the sidewalk as it turned into the lot. He said the driver remained on scene and was not suspected of impairment.
He said the 53-year-old woman appeared to be homeless.
The Clark County coroner’s office will identify her when family has been notified.
