LAS VEGAS (AP) - Neighbors sprang into action to save a resident inside a burning Las Vegas apartment building during a blaze.

KLAS-TV reports the fire began around 1 p.m. Sunday at the Hesperian Falls Apartments.

The Clark County Fire Department says medical responders transported two people to the hospital with minor injuries after two neighbors pulled one of those people out of an apartment.

The fire impacted two units and impacted another six because the power was shut off. The Red Cross assisted 12 adults and 8 children.

Firefighters say the blaze started on the first floor and quickly spread to the second floor.

The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
