KLAMATH FALLS, Ore. (AP) - Prosecutors have dropped charges against a father and son who had been accused of operating a cockfighting ring out of their home in Klamath Falls.

The Herald and News reports (https://is.gd/qJKi4M ) that prosecutors informed the court last week they could not prove the charges against Fernando Morales Sr. and Fernando Morales Jr.

The two were arrested in 2015 after police received a tip about online videos that allegedly showed the men training roosters to fight.

The men claimed they were training show roosters. They have filed federal lawsuits claiming their rights were violated and are seeking compensation for the now-euthanized birds.
