CODY, Wyo. (AP) - Wyoming game managers have trapped and relocated an adult female grizzly bear after it killed cattle.

The Wyoming Game and Fish Department says it captured the bear last Thursday north of Pinedale.

The bear was then released in grizzly habitat in the Shoshone National Forest west of Cody and about 5 miles (8 kilometers) from the east entrance of Yellowstone National Park.

The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service recently lifted federal protections for the Yellowstone area grizzly population and turned management of the species over to Idaho, Montana and Wyoming.
