CANTON, N.C. (AP) - The Latest on the aftermath of a fatal accident that caused one death when a truck rammed into a wagon train in North Carolina (all times local):

Somber wagon teamsters participated in a century-old parade days after one of their friends was killed by a motorist who rammed a truck into an exhibition.

The Labor Day Parade in Canton on Monday included only two wagons. More than a dozen wagons normally form a train during the parade.

One person is died, two others were hospitalized and at least one draft horse was destroyed after the fatal accident Friday. Witnesses say the truck crashed into the wagon train caravan traveling along a two-lane highway near an recreational vehicle park about 35 miles west of Asheville.

WLOS reports (https://bit.ly/2gG9oej) some members of the hobbyist group behind the wagon train say they planned to ride in Monday’s Labor Day parade to pay tribute to the man killed in the Friday’s wreck.

Witnesses say the truck crashed into the wagon train caravan traveling along a two-lane highway near an recreational vehicle park near Waynesville, about 35 miles west of Asheville.

One man died and the State Highway Patrol said two people are hospitalized. At least one horse was put down at the scene.
