MESA, Ariz. (AP) - The Latest on a fatal wreck and partial freeway closure (all times local):

10:20 a.m.

The eastbound Loop 202 freeway in Mesa has reopened after being closed through the Friday morning commute because of a fatal two-vehicle crash involving a car and an SUV.

Trooper Kameron Lee of the state Department of Public Safety says the SUV rolled and that its male driver was fatally injured.

Lee says the woman driving the car has non-life threatening injuries and that detectives are investigating whether she was impaired.

Lee also says detectives would like to speak with any witnesses to the incident.

Westbound lanes remained open during the closure..

6:25 a.m.

The state Department of Transportation recommends the U.S. 60 freeway as an alternate route for eastbound traffic.
