PAGEDALE, Mo. (AP) - Two young children are hospitalized with what are being called non-life threatening injuries after being accidentally shot inside a St. Louis County home.
The shooting happened Monday night in Pagedale. Police say a 2-year-old was shot in the elbow and a 7-year-old was grazed on the top of the head.
Police have not disclosed details of how the children were shot but, in a news release, encouraged gun owners to properly secure their weapons, especially in homes with small children.

Police say the parents were not home at the time of the shooting. The children were among six in the house, along with their 16-year-old brother.
An investigation continues.
