CONCORD, N.H. (AP) - A New Hampshire man has been sentenced to 14 years in federal prison for trafficking fentanyl.

Court documents say 26-year-old Anthony Barth, of Derry, twice sold the drug to a person in 2016 who was cooperating with authorities. Officers attempted to arrest him during a predetermined meeting and he tried to flee, hitting a police car and eventually abandoning his own car. He ran into the woods where he attempted to discard the drugs, but was apprehended.

Barth pleaded guilty in June to two counts of distribution of a controlled substance and one count of possession of a controlled substance with intent to distribute.
