, (AP) — Daytan Biegel hit a solo home run in the fifth inning, and Daury Cabrera allowed just two hits over five innings as the DSL Royals2 topped the DSL Mariners 2-0 in the first game of a doubleheader on Wednesday.

The home run by Biegel broke a scoreless tie.

The DSL Royals2 tacked on another run in the sixth when Warling Vicente scored on a ground out.

Cabrera (4-1) struck out one and walked three to pick up the win.

Kelvin Nunez (0-1) went five innings, allowing one run and five hits in the Dominican Summer League game. Victor Medina pitched two scoreless innings for his first save of the season.

The DSL Mariners were held scoreless for the first time this season, while the DSL Royals2’s staff also registered their first shutout of the year.

Despite the loss, DSL Mariners is 5-2 against DSL Royals2 this season.
