, (AP) — Carlos Sanchez hit a run-scoring single in the first inning, leading the DSL Red Sox1 to a 2-1 win over the DSL Rays1 in the first game of a doubleheader on Wednesday.

DSL Rays1 had a runner on first in the bottom of the seventh, but Roimer Bolivar hit into a forceout to end the game.

The single by Sanchez, part of a two-run inning, gave the DSL Red Sox1 a 1-0 lead before Brandon Rincones scored on a wild pitch later in the inning.

The DSL Rays1 cut into the deficit in the fifth inning when Jhosner Vargas hit a sacrifice fly, scoring Julio Meza.

Emerson Ortiz (2-1) got the win in relief while DSL Rays1 starter Janick Lopez (0-1) took the loss in the Dominican Summer League game.
