MINOCQUA, Wis. (AP) - Two people are accused of using a hatchet and meat mallet to threaten and hold a medical clinic worker against her will in Minocqua.

Police responded to the Marshfield Clinic shortly before 5 p.m. Tuesday after a panic alarm was triggered on the second floor. WJFW-TV reports the officers learned a man and woman had held a clinic employee and had threatened to harm her. Clinic staff intervened and held the suspects until police arrived.

Authorities say they found a loaded gun and ammunition in a bag belonging to the Eagle River couple. The two were booked into the Oneida County Jail and are expected in court later Wednesday.
