Burglar dies in confrontation with homeowner in Wales

WALES, Wis. (AP) - Sheriff’s officials say a burglar has died in a confrontation with an elderly homeowner in Waukesha County.

Dispatchers received a call about 6:30 p.m. Wednesday about a burglary at a residence in Wales. Authorities say the 33-year-old burglar became unresponsive during an altercation with the 76-year-old homeowner and was later pronounced dead.

Officials haven’t yet provided any more details.
