GEORGETOWN, Del. (AP) - Authorities are continuing to investigate a collision between a train and an automobile in southern Delaware that left a 22-year-old woman dead.

Delaware State Police on Saturday identified the victim in Friday’s collision as 22-year-old Raelyn Huffman of Delmar.

Authorities say Huffman, who was not properly restrained, was pronounced dead at the scene.

Investigators say Huffman drove on to the track at a railroad crossing as the crossing signals were flashing and a bell sounding. The engineer of the train pulling five empty grain cars also sounding a horn as the train approached the intersection.

For unknown reasons, Huffman’s car crossed the tracks in front of the train and was struck on the driver’s side.
