FALMOUTH, Mass. (AP) - A Massachusetts town has reduced the fee for licenses holders mandated to take fingerprint background tests.
The new Falmouth bylaw approved Monday will impact second-hand dealers, peddlers and hawkers, taxi and livery drivers, managers of liquor licenses and ice cream vendors. The Cape Cod Times reports people will now be charged $60 for a fingerprint test instead of $100.
The fingerprints are forwarded to state police, the state Department of Criminal Justice Information Services and the Federal Bureau of Investigation.
