LOUISVILLE, Ky. (AP) - A Louisville middle school teacher has pleaded not guilty to a charge of seeking sex with a minor and will be placed on house arrest until his next court hearing.
An arrest citation says 37-year-old Brandon Lee Dietz contacted an undercover detective online who was posing as a minor. He was arrested Wednesday when he traveled to a location in Louisville.
The Courier Journal reports Dietz works at Frederick Law Olmsted Academy North, an all-boys public school, and is also listed as a coach with a girls’ softball team.
Police found condoms inside his vehicle, and he admitted to seeking sex with a minor, a police report stated.
Cyber crimes investigators with the state Attorney General’s office teamed with Jeffersontown Police and the U.S. Secret Service to work the case.
