Our ever-changing cultural norms reached a new low recently. New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo, a professing Catholic, not only signed into law the Reproductive Health Act, making abortion legal up to the day of birth, he also proclaimed a time of celebration where New York landmarks would be lit in pink to commemorate the event.

As former President Obama, a professing Christian, did by lighting the White House in the colors of the LGBTQ flag after the U.S. Supreme Court ruled in favor of same-sex marriage, Mr. Cuomo’s call for celebration was not at all in step with the call of the Christian faith.

In another occurrence, Lady Gaga attacked Vice President Mike Pence, saying she is an actual Christian, and does not hold with the Christianity portrayed by Mr. Pence, who views marriage only as between a man and a woman. Lady Gaga should read the guide book for Christianity, the Bible, before championing what is clearly condemned.

In a speech in 1936, Adolf Hitler said, “I believe today that I am acting in the sense of the Almighty Creator. By warding off the Jews, I am fighting for the Lord’s work.” Hitler missed the fact that Jesus, the focal point of Christianity, was Jewish, but his ignorance illustrates a common theme prevalent today: That man is attempting to make God adhere to the changing standards of men, rather than acknowledging, as is clearly stated in the Bible, that man was made in the image of God.

As the puppet doesn’t pull the strings of the puppet maker, mankind will never alter the irreversible ordinances of God.
