BRANFORD, Conn. (AP) - Police have publicly identified the two people found dead in a Connecticut apartment as a 71-year-old man and his 36-year-old son.

Branford police say officers responded to a 911 call just after 6:15 p.m. Monday and found two bodies in a unit at the Branford Hills Condominiums with what authorities described as “signs of trauma.”

They were identified Tuesday as 71-year-old David Wells and 36-year-old Jason Wells.

Police say they have “ruled out homicide” as a cause of death and there is no threat to the public.

The medical examiner is waiting on toxicology reports to determine what they died of.
