It was surprising that House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, well aware of the political views of freshman Rep. Ilhan Omar, placed her on the Foreign Affairs Committe. Certainly it seems that Mrs. Pelosi, master politician, realized which way the wind is blowing as far as Israel is concerned.

While the established elder leaders of the Democratic Party have been giving lip service in condemning the anti-Semitic ranting of Ms. Omar, most of the potential Democratic presidential candidates have not. With the new wave of radical-left Democrats running and winning offices, this does not bode well for the future of the Democratic Party or our nation.

In Great Britain, the Labour Party has been infiltrated by the anti-Semitic Jeremy Corbyn, who has succeeded in becoming the leader and voice of that party. Well, we are seeing a similar scenario here in the U.S. I have been a registered Democrat for six decades, but I am appalled by the recent change, which demands that there emerge a third-party moderate candidate who reflects the tolerance of our voters.
