The Washington Nationals announced their roster for the National League Division Series and it includes two relief pitchers who were not on the active list for Tuesday’s wild card game.
The roster for the series with the Los Angeles Dodgers — which begins Thursday night in California — includes right-handers Wander Suero and Austin Voth. Suero led the Nationals in appearances with 78, while Voth pitched in just nine games with eight starts at the major league level.
The rest of the Nationals ’roster for pitchers includes Game 1 starter Patrick Corbin, Stephen Strasburg, Max Scherzer, Anibal Sanchez, Daniel Hudson, Sean Doolittle, Tanner Rainey, Fernando Rodney and Hunter Strickland.
The catchers are Kurt Suzuki and Yan Gomes, the infielders are Matt Adams, Ryan Zimmerman, Howie Kendrick, Brian Dozier, Trea Turner, Anthony Rendon, and Asdrubal Cabrera. The outfielders are Adam Eaton, Gerardo Parra, Juan Soto, Victor Robles and Michael A. Taylor. Taylor scored a key run as a pinch runner Tuesday.
