DETROIT (AP) - Michigan has recorded 189 more deaths from the disease caused by the coronavirus, bringing the state’s total to 3,274, state health officials said Saturday.

The number of new cases was 562, raising the state’s total to 37,274, state data showed.

Detroit has been city hit the hardest by the disease. The city added 81 new COVID-19 deaths Saturday, bringing the total to 897, Detroit’s Chief Public Health Officer Denise Fair said.
