Joe Biden continues to say he wants to unite the country into one United States of America. He has already failed.

He is continuing to appoint people around him who are zealously pro-abortion. Meanwhile, more than half the country are pro-life and they are not going to go away. They are not going to support Mr. Biden’s bloody agenda. The nation is divided, and the situation was described by an almost unlikely prophet.

Archbishop Carlo Maria Vigano is a Vatican archbishop and former apostolic nuncio (ambassador) from the Holy See (the Vatican) to the United States from 2011 to 2016. He also previously served as secretary-general of the Governorate of Vatican City State from 2009 to 2011. He gained international recognition as a whistleblower, naming names in the terrible sex-abuse scandal in the church.

He named bishops and cardinals up to the very highest level of the church. He cited those who tried to cover up for former Cardinal Theodore McCarrick’s evil deeds, including Cardinal Donald Wuerl, McCarrick’s successor as Cardinal Archbishop of Washington, D.C. Wuerl was forced to step down because of these revelations.

Archbishop Vigano is no crank. He has always been highly respected with a spotless reputation. For his trouble he has had to go into hiding for his life. He is clearly no coward when it comes to speaking the truth. Why did he do it? He says, “To discharge my conscience before God of my responsibilities as bishop of the universal Church. I am an old man and I want to present myself to God with clean conscience.”

LifeSite.com reports, “thus far, 36 U.S. bishops [perhaps more by now] have supported the credibility of the Viganò testimony by calling for an investigation of his claims. Most of those bishops publicly acknowledged the stellar character and deep faith of Archbishop Vigano.”

But it wasn’t only bishops. Archbishop Vigano was praised by many prominent Catholics and the praise even included conservative commentators like Pat Buchanan, Rush Limbaugh, and even non-Catholic Ben Shapiro also supported Archbishop Vigano’s heroic action, according to LifeSite.

Since his sensational testimony, Archbishop Vigano also penned two open letters to President Trump. In the first, of June 7, 2020, he spoke of the division in the United States and the world.

Archbishop Vigano begins his letter to Mr. Trump: “In recent months we have been witnessing the formation of two opposing sides that I would call Biblical: the children of light and the children of darkness. The children of light constitute the most conspicuous part of humanity, while the children of darkness represent an absolute minority.

And yet the former are the object of a sort of discrimination which places them in a situation of moral inferiority with respect to their adversaries, who often hold strategic positions in government, in politics, in the economy and in the media. In an apparently inexplicable way, the good are held hostage by the wicked and by those who help them either out of self-interest or fearfulness.”

He continues, “… These two sides, which have a Biblical nature, follow the clear separation between the offspring of the Woman and the offspring of the Serpent. On the one hand there are those who, although they have a thousand defects and weaknesses, are motivated by the desire to do good, to be honest, to raise a family, to engage in work, to give prosperity to their homeland, to help the needy, and, in obedience to the Law of God, to merit the Kingdom of Heaven.

On the other hand, there are those … who want to demolish the family and the nation, … accumulate power and money: for them the fallacious illusion of temporal well-being will one day – if they do not repent–yield to the terrible fate that awaits them, far from God, in eternal damnation. …

“In society, Mr. President, these two opposing realities co-exist as eternal enemies, just as God and Satan are eternal enemies. … [T]he children of darkness we may easily identify with the deep state which you wisely oppose and which is fiercely waging war against you in these days[.]”

With his support for the culture of death, Mr. Biden has chosen sides with the children of darkness, guaranteeing that the nation will remain divided. But don’t take my word for it, pay attention — if you can find it in the media — on Friday, Jan. 29, 2021 to the National March for Life. You will see the tens of thousands of young people, in the streets of Washington, D.C., who are survivors of Roe v. Wade. They turn out in their joy and enthusiasm for life. They are indeed the children of light.

To demonstrate how Mr. Biden has chosen the darkness, two of his chosen collaborators have been defenders of those who traffic in aborted baby body parts. This illicit, yet somehow legal trade was shown in the vociferous and zealous attempts by Xavier Becerra, (another Catholic), Mr. Biden’s choice for attorney general, and Vice President-elect Kamala Harris, to prosecute the case of David Daleiden and Sandra Merritt for surreptitiously recording conversations with members of that grisly trade, bringing their activities to light.

Would that we had people to record the secret plans of Hitler and his henchmen to launch the Final Solution. Hyperbole? Comparisons with Nazis are frowned upon — while one murder is always too many — but in sheer body count the Nazis murdered 6 million Jews, and many others, but since Roe v. Wade, we Americans have murdered 62 million people. (The unborn are people.)

Some have posited the idea that a backroom deal was conjured that Mr. Biden would retire early from office leaving Ms. Harris as president. If so, the United States would soon become a miserable dystopia.

In my last four articles in these pages — while I don’t really expect Mr. Biden to listen to me — I have tried to be polite, genteel and civilized — or what passes for it in our terrible times — in Mr. Biden’s case. But if Mr. Biden continues on the path he is on and does not change course in conversion and repentance, he may one day find himself not merely among the children of darkness but among the damned.

If you pray, pray for Mr. Biden. If you don’t pray, start.
