Deli worker is shot and killed, and motive remains unclear

NEW YORK (AP) - A man walked into a deli, fired several shots at a worker, killing him, and then left, police said.

A 34-year-old man was working behind the counter Friday evening at B&A Gourmet Deli in the Mott Haven neighborhood of the Bronx when he was shot, authorities said.

He was taken to a hospital and pronounced dead.

The motive is unclear, and nothing was taken from the deli, police said.
