I am a 36-year-old wounded veteran who has only been ‘back on my feet’ for two years, when I was given an opportunity to have a job that provides me with more income than I ever had in previous jobs. More importantly, it has provided me a career.

Now that I am established again and able to invest in my future with an IRA and savings, why would I voluntarily go back to being destitute? If I vote Democrat this year, that is exactly what I would be doing. Every election it comes down to the same phrase: “It’s the economy, stupid.” It seems every Democratic candidate wants to roll back this amazing boom of an economy. With one mighty swoop of a pen, they would erase all the gains I’ve made for my future, raising rates, increasing inflation and raising taxes.

I’ll never be wealthy enough to enjoy that yearly trip to Monaco on my private jet, but I can live a successful, middle-class life with a bright financial future thanks to the gains brought about by President Trump. So again, I ask, Why would I vote Democrat?
