Sen. Chuck Schumer’s pre-impeachment speech vindicated President Trump. Mr. Schumer said the Senate trial was not fair because Democrats were not allowed to have witnesses or see documents. That is exactly what the House managers denied the Republicans and White House counsel.

Mr. Schumer also stressed the House managers’ assertion that Mr. Trump sought help from a foreign country in investigating an opposition candidate to help his own election. Obviously, Democrats are mind readers. The White House counsel rebuffed each House impeachment article with facts. The most important issue related to using a foreign country to meddle in the U.S. election is this: The Democratic National Committee (DNC) and Hillary Clinton campaign paid for the fake Steele dossier, which was produced by a foreign agent using Russian sources to obtain tainted FISA warrants to investigate Mr. Trump and his campaign staff. The DNC worked with Ukraine to dig up dirt on Mr. Trump and his staff in a failed attempt to help Mrs. Clinton win the 2016 election.

These are the facts, not the concocted evidence claimed by the House Democrats. The acquittal was justice served.
