PITTSFIELD, Mass. (AP) - A man charged with shooting a woman as she sat in a parked car on a Pittsfield, Massachusetts street last summer is heading to court for his arraignment.

Tyler Sumner, 25, of Adams, is scheduled to be arraigned Wednesday in Berkshire Superior Court on a murder charge in the Aug. 25 slaying of Stephanie Olivieri, according to The Berkshire Eagle.

Sumner has been held without bail since his appearance in district court in September.

Olivieri was shot once while sitting in a vehicle during the early morning hours. Police responding to the city’s automated gunfire detection system and 911 calls found the 32-year-old Yonkers, New York woman wounded inside the car. She died at the hospital.

She had previously lived in the Pittsfield area

Investigators do not believe she was the intended target.

It was not clear if Sumner had an attorney.
