LYNCHBURG, Va. (AP) - Authorities in Virginia have arrested a man accused of impersonating an officer.
A statement from Lynchburg police said William Jacob Mills was arrested Monday afternoon and charged with impersonating a police officer.
Police began searching for Mills on Sunday, requesting any information on Facebook. Mills is accused of posing as a Lynchburg officer, news outlets reported.
Police didn’t immediately release details of the incident. The investigation is ongoing.
It’s unclear whether Mills has an attorney who can comment on his behalf.
