PORCUPINE, N.D. (AP) - The search is continuing for a woman missing on the Standing Rock Reservation.

Horseback riders joined other volunteers and law enforcement Monday in the search for 30-year-old Kara Lynn Mauai.

The volunteers on horseback search areas that are hard to reach on foot between Selfridge and Porcupine, a distance of about 20 miles.

The Fort Yates woman was last seen Nov. 8 in the Selfridge area. The Bureau of Indian Affairs and the woman’s family have declined to comment on whether foul play is suspected in Mauai’s disappearance, the Bismarck Tribune reported.

A search of Selfridge and its outlying areas Saturday drew the help of more than 30 volunteers but did not result in any leads or signs of Mauai, according to Sheridan McNeil, a family spokeswoman.

The mother of three is a member of the Standing Rock Sioux Tribe.
