NEW BEDFORD, Mass. (AP) - A man was found shot to death inside a multi-family New Bedford home early Friday morning, authorities said.
City police responding to the home in the city’s South End found the victim suffering from multiple gunshot wounds, according to a statement from the office of Bristol District Attorney Thomas Quinn III.
It is estimated the shooting occurred between 4 a.m. and 5 a.m., authorities said.
The victim’s name was not made public pending notification of family.
The state Medical Examiner’s Office is taking custody of the body to perform an autopsy.
The shooting is under investigation by city police and the district attorney’s office.
