The media’s tone when speaking to President Trump at the daily briefings is belligerent, combative and disrespectful. Meanwhile, their manner is polite and professional when speaking to the experts also at the podium with the president. This conduct borders on suicidal treason.

Their questions to the president come across as challenges, not inquiries. The queries are clearly not designed to elicit information to convey to the American people, which they should be. Mainstream media members ask several “gotcha” questions, in trying to get a definitive response where one is simply not possible in the current situation. As Dr. Anthony Fauci, director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases, recently reiterated, “I hesitate to give a number because when you give a number you own it.”

The media would use what would be at best an informed prediction or opinion an another excuse to attack Mr. Trump, as they have before.

Finally, the progressive politically correct press has repeatedly attempted to upbraid the president or referring to the coronavirus as the “Chinese virus.” They claim that such characterization is racist, but the president is merely following established ractice of referring to an epidemic or sickness by its geographical source, as in the case of Rocky Mountain Spotted Fever or the Spanish influenza. Their stance shows just how “historically challenged” (i.e., ignorant) they are.

Many people have noted with pride how the nation has come together in this crisis. It is well past time for the media to get on board.
