Congratulations to President Trump for inspiring Operation Warp Speed, which led pharmaceutical giant Pfizer to develop a coronavirus vaccination expected to be an astounding 90% effective.

In his super-brilliant 1987 autobiography, “The Art of the Deal,” Donald Trump writes, “Leadership is perhaps the key to getting any job done.” Not since President Kennedy gave the 1961 mandate to put a “man on the moon and bring him back safely before the decade is out” has an American president’s leadership so inspired American innovation. It was Mr. Trump’s leadership that led to this acceleration of our collective efforts for the sake of the nation.

It’s curious how this announcement came just a few days after the election, as it could have possibly altered the initial outcome. But regardless of any possible timing issues or motives, this is great news for the American people and the U.S. economy, which has been short-circuited by this foreign virus.
