Sunny Hostin says President Trump has “manufactured” a false narrative that Black Lives Matter activists are prone to looting, arson, destruction and violence.

The co-host of ABC’s “The View” had broad support among her colleagues on the subject Monday morning while discussing two Los Angeles sheriff’s deputies who were shot in a weekend ambush.

Whoopi Goldberg assured her audience that “there’s no proof that this shooter has anything to do with Black Lives Matter” while Ms. Hostin implored: “93% of protests are nonviolent!”

“In fact, when Trump had put in force, has put in federal enforcement, out of those 93%, the violence ratchets up,” she said, a reference to efforts made to protect Portland’s Mark O. Hatfield U.S. Courthouse from vandalism and arson.

“This is manufactured by the Trump campaign, and I just wish that people understood that and knew that, and just looked up the real facts about protests in this country,” Ms. Hostin continued.

Not mentioned during the commentary were pleas by the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department for protesters to stop blocking access to the emergency room at St. Francis Medical Center in Lynwood.

“To the protesters blocking the entrance & exit of the HOSPITAL EMERGENCY ROOM yelling ‘We hope they die,’ referring to 2 LA Sheriff’s ambushed today in #Compton: DO NOT BLOCK EMERGENCY ENTRIES 7 EXITS TO THE HOSPITAL,” the department tweeted Sunday. “People’s lives are at stake when ambulances can’t get through.”

The crowd outside the hospital also chanted that they hoped the injured cops die, and slogans like “f—- the police” and a call to fry the “pigs … like bacon” have been heard at Black Lives Matter protests.

Still, co-host Sara Haines was adamant that Black Lives Matter do not support violence.

“You can’t conflate the two [Black Lives Matter and anti-cop ambushes], and I don’t know anybody that would support this sort of violence,” Ms. Haines said. “Black Lives Matter does not support this. Joe Biden doesn’t support it. Kamala Harris doesn’t support it. None of us support it.”
