MANCHESTER, N.H. (AP) - Police in Manchester are searching for a mother accused of hiring a ride-hailing service to take her 3-year-old child to day care unsupervised in the vehicle.

Police also are concerned about Stephanie Goddu’s other child, a baby, who they said was found strapped into a carrier seat near a heater and covered in urine.

During a visit to Goddu’s home on Wednesday, they said Goddu, 35, appeared “incoherent and disoriented” and had trouble answering questions.

They said the baby was bundled in warm clothing and a blanket. They said the carrier was not more than 6 feet away from a heater and they were concerned the child could overheat.

Police also learned that on Monday, Goddu had hired a Lyft driver to take her other child, age 3, to day care. The child arrived safely, but was alone in the vehicle.

Police issued a warrant Thursday for Goddu on two counts of endangering the welfare of a child. It wasn’t known if Goddu had a lawyer.
