The efforts of the Democrats and the Republicans to count all or all legal ballots is impressive. Each side is spending tens of millions of dollars to get their way.

But might I suggest a third way: two classification of voters. If a voter properly presents citizenship and residency proof to the appropriate election authority before the election, that person becomes a validated voter. That person may then cast a validated vote, which must be pre-marked by election judges.

If any other ballot is submitted to the appropriate election authority by a voter who has not been validated, it should be counted with one exception. If the number of non-validated votes changes the result of the election, the validated votes determine the outcome.

This solves all voting issues, except where non-validated votes changes the outcomes of elections. Let those who want the non-validated votes to rule go to court.
