Recent columns by Joseph Curl and Tammy Bruce describe the media’s well-coordinated apology for refusing to acknowledge that the COVID-19 virus originated in the Wuhan biological-warfare lab (“Liberal media finally admit canceling Wuhan Lab leak theory because of Trump” and “Media opts for frenzy of cartoonish smears over COVID-19’s likely source,” Web, June 1). In practiced unison, they attributed their malevolence to animosity toward President Trump.

But they only actually apologized when incontrovertible evidence confirmed the virus was created by American and Chinese scientists working together. Both used CRISPER gene-splicing technology to acquire a gain of function in COVID-19 virulence and transmissibility.

But there’s more to the story. Recall that the congressional architects of the Russian hoax mocked former President Trump‘s declaration of a public-health emergency on Feb. 3, 2020, as unnecessary and racist — to the point of inviting tourists to Chinatown. In retrospect it is clear they were working hand-in-glove with the aforementioned scientists and media to ensure this plague would be widely spread. And to forestall Mr. Trump‘s certain reelection.

More still: Could the virus leak have been an act of treason? Could American — and not Chinese — agents have deliberately leaked the virus, working in desperate concert with their political and media counterparts — to ensure Mr. Trump‘s certain defeat?

If so, from their hard-won vantage at the pinnacle of power, it proved wildly successful. The 600,000 American deaths, trillions of dollars in deficits, untold numbers of bankruptcies, lost education and widespread abrogation of our constitutional rights was every bit worth the price.
