LAS VEGAS (AP) - Vice President Kamala Harris and her husband Doug Emhoff will visit Las Vegas on Monday as part of a trip to promote the $1.9 trillion relief package that President Joe Biden signed into law Thursday.

The White House has not yet announced details about the trip.

Following the stop in Nevada, Harris and Emhoff will visit Denver on Tuesday and on Wednesday Emhoff will make a solo trip to Albuquerque, New Mexico.

The sweeping relief bill provides up to $1,400 direct payments this year to most people and extending $300 weekly emergency unemployment benefits into early September.

It also includes $350 billion to state and local governments and tribal governments for costs incurred up until the end of 2024.
