OPINION:
How can voters believe that socialism is a better economic system than capitalism? It’s just another example of our failed education system and the Democrats’ and Democratic Socialists of America’s partnership to mislead and deceive.
The ideology of democratic socialism is antisemitic, anti-civil rights and anti-American.
Democratic members of Congress’ latest vote to stop funding to Israel, the only democratic government in the Middle East, is exactly the sort of thing confusing voters.
I like making money and the freedom to make as much as I choose. isn’t that what free-market capitalism offers? If all congressional members are the product of acquired wealth through capitalism, then why are they denouncing capitalism as evil?
I any of these self-proclaimed supporters of socialism were to actually visit a socialist country or take the time to read about and/or listen to people who risked their lives to come to our country to flee socialist/communist countries, they would change their tunes.
Democratic voters refuse to accept the fact that socialism is communism and the opposite of capitalism. Socialism doesn’t create jobs or generate wealth; it takes wealth from others to redistribute it. It also leads to economic inequality, since the leaders control the wealth.
I understand the frustration with capitalism. With stagnating wages and an increasing cost of living, it seems as though fewer people are making economic gains. But these are issues that can be resolved within the capitalist system, through sound policies such as access to working capital for new businesses, tax incentives for companies that create jobs and economic policies for food price regulations.
They say that if you play with fire, you will get burned, and that’s what’s happening in the Democratic Party, which is embracing DSA candidates who don’t agree with democratic principles.
The Democrats must not be blinded by a thirst for political power at all costs.
