The rise in antisemitism and anti-Israel is no surprise — and the causes are obvious.

For decades, colleges and universities have condoned violent anti-Jewish and anti-Israel hate speech and physically aggressive protests. They have been joined by indoctrinated students who believe their teachers and never bothered to learn the facts.

The problem got worse with President Joe Biden and the Democrats’ open border policies. Muslims from Arab countries who were taught from infancy to hate and kill Jews entered our country. Many of them are activists and have been involved in their anti-Jewish movements for many years.

This type of hate speech and violence should not be allowed at the federal, state or local level. No American citizen — no matter what race, religion, ethnicity or gender — should be subjected to the sort of hatred to which Jewish people have been subjected.

All of our leaders must take actions to end the hate speech and violence and enforce the laws. They must also hold the offending schools and activists accountable.

The vile treatment of Jews and Israelis that we have seen on campuses nationwide is frequently unconstitutional.
