OPINION:
Shame on all the barbarians for staging a riot at an Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) detention center for criminal illegals on Memorial Day when they should have been honoring our nation’s military personnel (“Protesters clash with ICE agents at N.J. detention center,” Web, May 26).
What about the overcrowding, medical neglect and physical abuse of detainees, including children, under President Joe Biden? No one was rioting then.
And what about Loyola University student Sheridan Gorman, recently murdered in Chicago by an illegal alien who entered the U.S. under Mr. Biden’s watch? The left didn’t stage a riot for her. In fact, the Democrats apparently couldn’t care less about Gorman, whom they seem to view as mere collateral damage.
Members of the political left resort to rioting and violence only when that suit their political agenda. This is political theater that stinks to high heaven and it is un-American.
