Rep. Haley Stevens requested protection from the U.S. Marshals Service after she received death threats in response to her endorsing Republican Michigan Senate nominee Mike Rogers.

Two senior Trump administration officials first told Axios about the death threats and the request from Ms. Stevens for federal Marshals to protect her.

Ms. Stevens previously endorsed Mr. El-Sayed after the August primary, and on Wednesday told CNN she still planned to vote for him.
However, during her appearance with Mr. Rogers at a Detroit church on Sunday, Ms. Stevens said, “We can’t stand with hate,” criticizing the Democratic nominee.
Her fiance, Jason Turkish, announced his plans to vote for Mr. Rogers in an interview published Wednesday, in which he said he had become convinced that Mr. El-Sayed is an antisemite.
