It takes one to know one, and it seems that former James Bond actor Pierce Brosnan approves of all the Bond candidates who are reportedly up for the role.
In a new interview with Vanity Fair, Mr. Brosnan, 73, said he is “eager to see” who is picked next for the role after Daniel Craig retired as Bond five years ago.
“All the men who are on the list now are actors I admire,” Mr. Brosnan said. “Callum Turner is someone I’ve worked with, and he’s so strong. They all have a voice and a physique, and a presence on film. They all have longevity as actors, all of these young men.”

Variety reports that British actor Mr. Turner is a front-runner alongside fellow Brit and “Slow Horses” actor Jack Lowden. The outlet also reported on Oct. 22 that final screen tests for the role were wrapping up.
Mr. Brosnan said that “whoever plays the role, I wish him the very best of life and strength and courage.”
“You know, it’s hard to tell who it would be, but I eagerly await to hear the news and the celebration of the next James Bond,” he said.
The last theatrical James Bond film was 2021’s “No Time to Die.” Amazon bought the franchise from Eon Productions for $20 million in October 2025.
