A Texas grand jury has indicted a man for the murder of a mother of three who was killed in May.

Cody Allen Laviolette faces charges of first-degree murder and tampering with evidence in the death of Kelly Taylor Mariah Little, whose body was found on May 23, according to People magazine.

Little and her three children were living in Mr. Laviolette’s home in Onalaska, Texas, at the time she died.

Mr. Laviolette was first arrested in July for unlawful restraint and aggravated assault, and his mother was also taken into custody at the time with charges of manufacturing and distributing a controlled substance.

The Polk County Sheriff’s Office said that Mr. Laviolette became a person of interest in the death of Little shortly thereafter.

Individuals came forward to the police about Mr. Laviolette, and he was further charged with numerous crimes, including four counts of the aggravated sexual assault of a child and bestiality. The sheriff’s office said the child sexual assault charges involved Little’s children.

“Laviolette has now been charged with a total of 16 felony offenses, with combined bonds totaling $5,400,000,” the PCSO said in a Tuesday update on the case.
