Negotiations with Iran have been fruitless, except to expose that country’s outrageous demands, including that it control the Strait of Hormuz and charge $1 million for every oil tanker that traverses it.

The Trump administration has repeatedly claimed that Iran is on the verge of bankruptcy, its people are starving, and its Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) government is on the brink of collapse.

However, there have been no reports of the Iranian people launching an uprising against the IRGC. In spite of the U.S. blockade of Iran, the IRGC continues to exist and attack.

If one looks at a map, one can see why. Iran borders the Caspian Sea, where Russia, its ally, maintains a large fleet. The U.S. has no military presence in the Caspian Sea.

Satellite and geospatial Intelligence, as well as sophisticated weapons and advanced technology, have been provided by Russia and China to Iran in an effort to bolster its defense against the U.S.

In the meantime, Iran continues to attack its neighboring countries. The recent attack on Saudi Arabia by the Houthis, Iran’s surrogate terrorist group, killed 13 people, including one American. Hundreds of people were wounded.

One would think that the Mecca Defense Alliance would mean that Turkey and Pakistan join Saudi Arabia in a war against the Houthis and Iran.

Iran has also launched missile and drone strikes against several other Arab nations, including Bahrain, Qatar, the United Arab Emirates, Kuwait, Jordan, Oman and Iraq. These attacks were not confined to the U.S. military; Arab civilians were also killed.

Intense sporadic bombing and a blockade only by the U.S. do not seem to be working. It is time for an all-out land, sea and air attack upon Iran — not only by the U.S., but also by the Arab countries that have been Iran’s victims and those nation’s allies, such as Turkey and Pakistan.

During the Gulf War against Iraq, the International Coalition deployed approximately 956,000 to 960,000 total personnel to the Persian Gulf theater at peak strength. That must be done again against Iran.

Otherwise, Iran’s changing of its “Death to America” chant to “Vote Democrat” will have worked.
